The King Faisal Library Competition serves as a renovation project for of the old Library of King Faisal University. The New Library is designed to bring people together. The plaza acts as a gathering space where guest arrive from both on-campus and off-site. The Plaza entry directs Students , Teachers and visitors towards the glassy entrance Facade . The transparent Facade creates a strong connection and visual continues between the outside and inside and offers a symbolic entrance. The day lit interior is airy and expansive, enables visual connections throughout. The Different Proposals will create a vibrant contemporary building for study, interaction and exploration. Bringing together a variety of reader spaces, versatile collection and exhibition space, and a distinctive 250 seat lecture theater. The treatment of the extension facade inverts the balance of the original brutality architecture of the building to create a strong and holistic architectural identity.
