The Muhaidib Showrooms is a retail and commercial building that is located in Dammam,KSA. The modern and minimalistic design in the buildings architecture creates a simple and aesthetic architecture in its urban context. The 8 story office building consists of a ground floor with a number of retail outlets, whilst the upper floors constitute the showrooms and a three story open parking structure that has an open terrace on its rooftop with overhead tent structures. A linear urban plaza leads to these outlets with integrated landscape that provides an outdoor urban setting with a walk-able and lively street. The buildings architecture design differentiates the southern from the northern facade each designed to maximize energy efficiency. The Northern facade is an all glass facade maximizing daylight and decreasing the buildings daytime energy consumption. The southern facade has a more bounded opening that facilitates the lighting within the internal space.
